Pepsi created an Augmented Reality game that required no marker - users simply held up their Pepsi to their webcam to unlock a unique game experience. Leveraging early technology (this was 2009) is not without risks and deploying it to over 50 countries is always a challenge, but the buzz and engagement achieved surpassed Pepsi’s expectations.
